Hughes' Family Fun

We went to a Hughes' family party for Tonda's sister, Barbara who just got back from Africa. We are lucky to be considered adopted members of their already HUGE family of 8 kids and many grandkids all of whom Jax adores! We spent the day eating, swimming, and relaxing by the pool. We even spent a little time at the Hughes' Karaoke Lounge. Always a favorite for the "lounge singers", but not so much a favorite for the innocent bystander's ears. You should hear our group version of Margaritaville. It turns heads, trust me! Nevermind the traumatized faces on those heads though:)

Jaxon had a blast from the minute we put him in the pool. Of course he had to try and drink the water:) And ignore the hat, it's a little small, but we had to put something on him to keep him from pulling out his earplugs.

Fourth of July Weekend

Well it was definitely sad not spending Fourth of July in Missouri this year. We missed all of our family and friends, and I was homesick! I was so excited when Dad called to say he was coming down, and bringing a horse for Jax. Thank goodness the horse was just made from a tire! It made up for missing the Mark Twain Lake Rodeo for the most part, with a little help from a Kenny Chesney concert in Nashville!
